I’m really excited that my website is being redesigned. Right now this site is just a super-stuffed blog that I designed myself including the header which, although cheerful, is not quite right.
Any suggestions of stuff you’d like to see/be able to do, please let me know.
The wonderful Melanie Lowe is doing the design to make this site easier to look at and more fun to peruse. Now if only she had her own website, I’d point you to it. But you know how it is, cobbler’s son, no shoes, etc.

Hi Susan,
I like your current website, but the new one looks great too. I especially like the recent portrait of you on Home Page 3, which I hadn’t seen before. That photographer did a wonderful job with the t-shirt/jeans/barefoot photo shoot. Since I haven’t met you in person, I can’t say whether those portraits capture your personality… but they are very real and accessible, which sounds like you.
The Locate Me button will tie into a real-time GPS that you wear, I assume? Your fans need to know what you’re doing (and where)!
Does your new site have a section with copies of your articles? I know that you have them here on this site, but that they tend to be hiding on the server and occasionally linked in your blog notes. Would be nice to have a collection of your articles (separate from your blog posts) and web links that could be lumped together under the ‘resources’ page. Oh never mind, I see those articles are here on your current site under ‘Writing’…
Curious whether you have published any of your teachings for the meditation course for writers? I didn’t find any books by you on Amazon, on that subject. Do you use Natalie Goldman’s book Writing Down the Bones in your course, or do you have your own instructions? Aspiring writers who haven’t yet taken your course are all wondering whether you have anything written to share with the next generation of Buddhist and other writers.

Great suggestion to make the articles more plainly available. They are rather hidden I’d like you to be able to see them and choose which ones you may want to read.
I haven’t published anything about what I teach at the meditation retreat for writers. I’ve never written about it, although I would certainly like to. It’s such a rich subject–the relationship of creativity to meditation; the impact of combining meditation practice with writing; where your real voice actually resides and how to give it space…all fascinating topics. I don’t use Natalie’s book although I know many people love it. I’ve never been able to get into it as I have with Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way.” I love that book and incorporate some of what she teaches into my program.
Thank you for the encouragement to put some of this down for others to read. It inspires me to get started.
In the meantime, try to come to one of the retreats!! If anyone who attends loves them half as much as I do, I’m totally happy.
