“It’s been weeks since I checked your site, and it’s so nice to hear about your time in Colorado and your success with writing. The book sounds wonderful, and Shambhala Mountain Center must be an amazing place.

Your writing conveys such positive energy, remind me to check your site when I am in Iraq for the next year. I will be the USG’s aid advisor on a new interagency task force, helping to bring soft power (development) resources to work closely with hard power (defense) and diplomacy there. This is part of a new and improved approach to promoting governance, stability, and economic growth there. For me, the chance to work as a peacemaker among warriors, in this poor country beset by violence… it should be a dream job.

Liz, I’m so glad my book has been useful. It is impossible to imagine how one gets through heartbreak without as much support as possible (although they DO), and I’m glad my book could be some part of that. Wishing you all all all the best and a total, amazing healing.

Hi Susan,

It sounds like your retreat was fulfilling in many ways.

I recently finished your last book and absolutely love it. In fact, I raved about it to my therapist and even loaned it to her. I am especially looking forward to your new book (thank you for posting the introduction!) since it has been almost five months since my life was completely turned upside down. My partner of 10 years blindsided me by telling me she wanted to break up and move on in her life alone. The past 5 months have been quite an emotional roller coaster, but, I am ok! I’ve been blessed with supportive family, friends and co-workers, a wonderful therapist, and guidance from incredible people like you. Thank you.
