Office taking shape

Makes me inordinately happy. Will return to posting more deeply meaningful things soon… Once I get that new rug…

Ooohhh, rug – I look forward to seeing the design you choose.

Also, I wanted to say that this project has inspired me. Tomorrow, I’m spending almost the entire day cleaning my ENTIRE apartment: vacuuming, moping, cleaning baseboards, whipping down counters & table tops, scrubbing the toilet … all the good stuff :D I’m eager for the workout & to see the results.

I like the color (as much as I can tell from the snapshots)! And the sparkling desktop? How much did it cost to Photoshop all the clutter out of the picture?

    Good for you!

Ha! I tend to have a fairly neat desktop…but a messy, crazy closet with a bunch of random stuff piled in it…

Victoria, I’m thrilled you feel inspired to uplift your space!! Would love to see before and after pics…or just hear a report about how it felt to do all or some of this…

I am glad to see you taking up this discipline experiment again. I fell off the wagon mid-summer and am trying to dust off my list of To Do’s. It’s long and very dusty.

I’ve been testing out computer applications to help with the organizing, but so far haven’t found The Perfect Set-up. I like Google calendars, but I also like some of the features on backpackit.com, so I’m finding some weird in-between of the two apps. Would be curious to hear if you’ve found a good system for electronic time management.

Thank you for taking another stab at it and sharing it with us. This is a nice little kick in the rear for me.

    Go for it, Stephanie!
I don’t use an electronic organizer. I tried everything there is–from Palm Pilots to iPhones to Remember the Milk to Google calendar, etc. But I finally realized that I simply prefer paper. So I use the Circa system from Levenger. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best I can find. And believe me, I looked (and spent).

    Keep me posted!!
