    I just wanted to say that i have enjoyed reading this book. It has been very enlightening and has helped me on a path to Buddhism. I am on a journey to be truly awakened. I have to admit I am nervous to try the Seven-Day Meditation Program. At first I thought this is strange that i could be afraid of this. I do think this program will be helpful!

    I also thought your book was easy to follow and understand. I believe this book can be read many times and each time you learn something new. Thanks :) Ps…I use your site when I meditate, it is helping me learn how to meditate!

    Thank you for your courage to sharee this practice and your life experiences. You have opened a new door for me and I am excited to pursue this practice further. I am fortunate enough to have a Shambhala Center in my city and I signed up for an intro session.

    I first read your book soon after it came out (an “accidental” find at the bookstore). It started me thinking about meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhism in a more concrete way, somehow your descriptions and instructions seemed more accessible than other things I had read. It made those other things make more sense to me. I began thinking of a meditation retreat, and actually just going away all by myself (no husband, no kids, no friends) and finally went to Kripalu this past June. While it wasn’t a silent retreat, I certainly was alone, with my thoughts, and my spirit. I found it to be a most amazing experience, and have been able to continue practicing meditation, because now I have more tools and more understanding. I am now re-reading the book, because I know that my experiences will allow me to get things from it, I didn’t get the first time. In the meantime, I have recommended your book to several friends. I think books that speak to us and open doors are truly wonderful. Thank you so much for putting down what you have learned in a simple way that speaks to many.
